BEST NEW MUSICAL
Welcome to Camp Goody Goody, summer retreat for children of the elite run by fading socialite Madame Tres Faux (Kelly Ross) who is thrust into emergency mode when, just a day after opening, the forbidden less fortunate camp across the lake mysteriously burns down. She offers to take in the hooligans from this less-than-upscale establishment as a goodwill gesture, which leads to plenty of comedic antics, unexpected tensions and surprising twists. "Camp" is a wonderfully entertaining, fast-paced fun musical comedy the whole family will enjoy.
With more than 20 songs and a cast of 23, you will be singing the score long after the curtain comes down.

Camp © 2022 David J.V. Meenan
David J.V. Meenan began producing and directing musical theatre at the age of 15 opening his first company with a production of The Pajama Game.
Since then, his plays and musicals have been seen worldwide including KANSAS, The American Musical, produced by The York Theatre Company in NY and DINKLE which ran Off-Broadway in NY to sold out houses. Regionally his original works include the musical Trans-Atlantic, The award winning play Ravensbruck, Lizzie Borden Took An Axe, Triangles-Portraits of The Holocaust, Chorines, Pork Chops and Applesauce, and dozens of Children's plays.
CAMP, A NEW MUSICAL was originally written for Mr. Meenan's private musical theatre students. A full production workshop followed with sold out houses at The Middletown Arts Center and standing ovations each night. Immediate plans were drawn to bring the show to NY.
The music in "Camp" ranges from classic Broadway style, to contemporary, pop, and rap. Audiences of all ages are sure to love this family friendly musical. There are no Broadway shows quite like "Camp" in the performing arts.
